Michael Yang

Michael Yang is an Investment Associate at Siguler Guff and joined the Firm in 2009. His responsibilities include fund selection, investment due diligence, and portfolio management for several of the Firm's products.

Prior to joining Siguler Guff, Mr. Yang was a Senior Associate at WestLB Mellon Asset Management. He was involved in evaluating, executing and monitoring investment opportunities for buyout, venture capital and special situations funds, as well as direct and secondary investments. Before transferring to WestLB Mellon, Mr. Yang worked at the Bank of New York Mellon as a member of the bank’s corporate strategy team. Mr. Yang began his career as a Consultant at Deloitte.

Mr. Yang holds a B.A. with high distinction in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.A. in International Policy Studies with a concentration in International Economics from Stanford University. Mr. Yang is a CFA charter holder and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. Mr. Yang is also a member of the National Committee on United States-China Relations.
