Michael Yang is a Vice President at Siguler Guff and joined the Firm in 2009. He is actively involved in manager selection, due diligence, direct investing and portfolio management for the BRIC Opportunities Funds. In addition, he has primary responsibility for tracking, analyzing and monitoring underlying portfolio activity.
Prior to joining Siguler Guff, Mr. Yang was a Senior Associate at WestLB Mellon Asset Management. He was involved in evaluating, executing and monitoring investment opportunities for buyout, venture capital and special situations funds, as well as direct and secondary investments. Before transferring to WestLB Mellon, Mr. Yang worked at the Bank of New York Mellon as a member of the bank's corporate strategy team. Mr. Yang began his career as a Consultant at Deloitte.
Mr. Yang holds a B.A. with high distinction in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.A. in International Policy Studies from Stanford University. Mr. Yang is a CFA charterholder, a CAIA charterholder, a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts, and a member of the National Committee on United States- China Relations.
