Patricia M. Dinneen is a Managing Director at Siguler Guff. Dr. Dinneen joined the Firm in 2004 to build the BRIC private equity investment business, focusing on Brazil, Russia, India, China and select Frontier Markets. She has primary responsibility for overseeing the due diligence, selection and monitoring of funds and co-investments for the Firm's $2 billion BRIC strategy. Prior to joining Siguler Guff in 2004, Dr. Dinneen was at Cambridge Associates, an independent financial consulting firm, where she led research, client advisory work and due diligence in Emerging Markets private equity. While at Cambridge, she created the first, comprehensive Emerging Markets private equity database to measure performance and to help professionalize the asset class, in collaboration with the major International Financial Institutions.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Dr. Dinneen founded a consulting firm specializing in telecommunications and business development, working with start-up ventures. Previously, she spent ten years at British Telecommunications (BT) in London where she was involved in establishing over ten joint ventures in the Emerging Markets of Asia and Europe. Before BT, she worked at Hughes Communications, leading business projects to extend digital data and TV satellite communications in developed and Emerging Markets. She has also held positions at The RAND Corporation and the White House.
Dr. Dinneen holds a B.A. in Economics and Russian Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.Sc. in Soviet Economics from the London School of Economics, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, specializing in regulatory economics and technology.
